The Laban Johnson Group to sponsor the Helpful Hands Foundation

April 21, 2009 – The Laban Johnson Group has committed to encouraging its members, social entrepreneurs from around the country, to volunteer and raise funds for The Helpful Hands Foundation to help save American families from the threat of foreclosure on their homes. The Group, a cooperative association of social entrepreneurs using business skills to tackle urgent social problems measures its success not only in dollars but also in impact – the difference they make in the world around them by organizing business people and do-gooders, alike to support good causes.
Laban R. Johnson, Jr. Founder and President of the self-named Group has directed the organization to sponsor the Helpful Hands Foundation services.
Both organizations promote financial security and financial independence and encourage responsible borrowing and maintaining stability for families in turbulent times.
Says Johnson: “The family is the backbone of our society and in an ideally healthy society there is no reason why every family in America should not be able to own and keep a home, and until we make it to that point we have all a great deal of work to do, together.

The Helpful Hands Foundation provides preventive counseling for individuals and families facing foreclosure proceedings against their personal homes and property, hosting public workshops in cities nationwide to educate and counsel them to prevent foreclosure and find solutions for those families in need.
